How do I complete the EMD spreadsheet that was attached
to my Order Confirmation?
You received this spreadsheet only if you indicated that you
were dropping your mail at multiple postal facilities.
The spreadsheet provided by TrackMyMail.com is pre-populated in the
correct format. (See description of the fields that you provide below).
On your spreadsheet, fields in dark blue are required-light blue fields
are optional. Any required fields that are not pre-populated with data
must have data entered prior to uploading.
Any required fields that are pre-populated by TMM include a formula or
number that must be copied for each mail drop.
The following fields are to completed by the user:
(Please note, in our spreadsheet, Columns “A”, “B” and “C” are
combined to create the 20 digit shipment id in Column D).
- Column A: Shipment ID –(We provide)
- Column B: User Assigns – A
unique 4-digit number assigned by the client to differentiate multiple
mail drops. Each drop requires
a unique 4-digit number. (Recommendation: Sequential – 0708,
0709, 0710 etc...)
- Column C: CheckDigit – An embedded formula in this
field on the attached spreadsheet will calculate the Check Digit
automatically when
you enter the User Assign numbers in Column B.
- Column D: Complete Shipment
ID – The complete 20-digit number
which we automatically calculate from the previous 3 columns.
- Column
E: Facility - The 3 or 5-digit code for the facility where the
mail drop
will occur.
- Column F: Drop date – Enter the drop date for each
shipment. Please be aware that the postal service will not accept
EMD files with drop dates in the
past.
- Number of Planet codes – Enter the number of PLANET Coded
pieces going to the specified facility..
- Total Mail Qty - The total number
of pieces dropping at that facility.
- PLANET code - The PLANET code
assigned by the TrackMyMail system
- PLANET coded pieces - The number
of pieces with PLANET codes for that drop
1. Save the EMD file.
2. Log-in to your Trackmymail account
and select the Uploads tab at the top of the Job List/Overview screen.
3. Select the option to UPLOAD EMD Entry Data, type in your email
and click "continue"
4. Browse to find the EMD
file you saved on your computer and click on "upload".
5. You will receive a confirmation page on the website. However,
you should also receive an email confirmation indicating that
the file wa successfully uploaded.

the file, you may submit it as an email to customerservice@trackmymail.com. |
