TrackItBack Pro™ Round-Trip
Please choose from the following:
Option 1- I am tracking every piece of my mailing (ROUND-TRIP) and would like for ™ to process and encode the file to obtain my Intelligent Mail® barcodes. (Recommended)
Option 2 - I am tracking every piece of my mailing (ROUND-TRIP) and would prefer to download a range of numbers to create my own IM™BC.
TrackItBack Pro™ (TIB Pro) utilizes the Intelligent Mail® barcode to provide round trip tracking. A unique tracking ID is used to define inbound and outbound tracking on the same job. Files being uploaded for TIB Pro should appear in the format specified below. Field sizes shown are the maximum field size accepted. The columns must be either tab or comma delimited (.txt or csv). Fixed length files will not be accepted.
Fields 1- 2 and 25 are required for round trip tracking
The additional fields such as name, address, etc., are optional but if uploaded will be available for viewing in our single piece and other reports.
Please note that optional fields (through Field 25) must be represented, even if they are not populated. You may use headers in your uploaded file. If the file uploaded includes a header record, the header labels used must include at least one of the following values for validation: (CustomerUniqueIdentifier, POSTNET™, Onecode, IMB, City, State or ZIP).

* Records that are uploaded without a value in the POSTNET™ field will not be included in any reports driven by ZIP Code (i.e. State, ZIP3, ZIP5, etc). This will result in the reports appearing to be out of balance.
TrackItBack Pro™ Upload File field descriptions
Revenue Amount – The total amount of revenue in dollars the inbound mail piece represents. This field is required if you will be using the Revenue Anticipation Report.
UserDefined Numeric – Leave blank for future use.
UserDefinedDate (Billing Due Date) – The due date of the bill or invoice for the inbound mail piece.
TIB IM™BC –This field must be left blank if encoding is done through the website.
Inbound POSTNET™ – If multiple inbound POSTNET™s are used then each record should have a POSTNET™ entered for each inbound piece. This field is optional for clients who use a single inbound POSTNET™. – Note: The POSTNET™ uploaded must match the reply address POSTNET™(s) that were registered when the job was ordered. An inbound POSTNET™ must be 9, or 11 digits. Do not include check digits

Note: If the example file is used as a template, please save the upload file as a text tab-delimited file prior to uploading
Uploading the File
- Create a tab-delimited or Comma delimited file as specified
- Save your file locally as a .txt or .csv file
- Click on the "Uploads" tab in your account
- Select the option “Replace existing data with the new data in this file” or “Append to existing information with the data in this file”. Use the “Replace” option if this is the first file you are uploading.
- Check the box “File includes TrackItBack Data”
- Select the job name from the drop down list of jobs
- Browse for your file and select it
- Enter the email address where all email notifications for file uploads and the encoded file downloads will be sent
- Click the Upload File button at the bottom of the screen
- Your upload is complete
IMPORTANT- You may revise this data at any time by uploading a modified file and selecting the replace option. This will replace the existing information.
You will receive an email from customerservice@trackmymail.com after you upload your file. This will indicate a successful upload, or notify you of any problem. When the encoding process is complete you will receive a second email with a link to your encoded file.

To Retrieve:
- Sign into your PrecisionTrack™ account
- Click on the link in your email notification
- You will be directed to the download screen where your encoded file is available as a compressed (.zip) file or as a .txt file
- Right-click on the link for the file type you would like to download and choose “Save-As”
- Save the file locally
